Best Places to Stay in Margaret River

If you haven’t already visited our cellar door in person, maybe it’s time you planned a trip. The Margaret River region truly is one of Australia’s best holiday destinations (we’re just a little bit biased!) with its unspoilt beaches, spectacular scenery and of course, world-class food and wine.

So what are you waiting for? From five-star luxury hotels to cosy guesthouses, we reveal the best places to stay in and around Margaret River - see our favourites below.  Also for other hotels nearby, check with HotelsCombined.

The Cottage on Rosa Brook

If you want a total escape from the hustle and bustle, then consider a stay in this beautifully restored 1920s settler’s cottage. Nestled in a quiet rural setting, complete with kangaroos and birds at your doorstep, this quaint little Airbnb is less than five-minutes-drive from our cellar door in Rosa Brook. Perfect for a couple or small families, The Cottage is a great budget to mid-range option with all the modern amenities you might need. Snuggle down by the fire and gaze at the stars with the valley and rolling farmland surrounding you. Even your furry four-legged friends are welcome here.

The Rosewood Guesthouse

Highly convenient, this popular 4.5-star Bed & Breakfast is located in a beautiful garden setting and just a 10-minute stroll from the town centre. Hosted by the lovely and knowledgeable Jane and Keith, there are six gorgeous guest rooms plus a larger suite to choose from. The Rosewood team also provide fantastic private tours in ‘Rose’, their beloved 1956 Rolls Royce, so you can explore Margaret River in unique style. Be sure to order their Cheese Board or Devonshire Tea to enjoy in the elegant lounge area while you chat to other guests.

Margaret River Guesthouse

Another centrally-located Bed & Breakfast, this warm and friendly accommodation is just a two-minute walk to the town centre. The property has an interesting heritage as it was built in the 1920s as a convent for the settlement of Margaret River. A delicious afternoon tea with home-baked goodies is provided, as well as breakfast, which you can enjoy on the verandah or the seriously cosy lounge by the open fire. It’s no wonder this guest house, with its attentive hosts Deb and Pete, consistently receives rave reviews on TripAdvisor.

Llewellin’s Guest House

You’ll feel right at home from the moment you set foot in this gorgeous, luxury guesthouse. Hosted by James and Joanna, there are three beautiful rooms available (including one with a spa) and each has been recently refurbished and decorated in a French Provincial theme. The house is surrounded by tranquil bushland where you can sit peacefully and watch the birds and wildlife, and yet is only minutes to town and all the best attractions of Margaret River. All that plus, one of the most delicious home-cooked breakfasts you could ask for - owner James is a Cordon-Bleu trained chef! He’ll even do special group dinners on request.
